History
At Bonnygate Primary School our History curriculum aims to ensure all pupils gain a deep understanding of Britain’s past as well as important events, time periods and figures from across the globe. Our curriculum is designed to ensure we cover the National Curriculum requirements as well as reflect the cultures and histories of the children that we teach. We aim to develop children’s research skills so they are able to think critically, ask perceptive questions and use evidence to create models of the past beyond the subjects that we study in class. We ensure that our children learn about how events and people from the past have shaped our lives today and how they in turn can impact the future.
