Pupil Leadership

At Bonnygate Primary School we value our pupils input into improving our school and giving everyone the best opportunities.

School Council

At the start of every year, two pupils are selected to represent their class.  This process is completed in a democratic way by all pupils wishing to be a representative presenting to their class and allowing them to vote.

School Council meets every other week with the Deputy Headteacher.  They have a key question to present to their class and gather findings before the meeting the following week.

Mental Health Champions

A mental health champion is someone who takes action to raise awareness of mental health and challenge stigma. Stigma is when we make assumptions about how a mental health problem will affect someone's behaviour.

Our Year 5 pupils have been trained to support our children and works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to offer support and ides.

House Captains

Our Year 6 House Captains represent our four houses: Ford, Belhus, Stubbers and Orsett.  They collect house points for the school and present this information during Celebration Assembly.
